Founder's Message

Hudson Fornes with his sibling

As the oldest sibling of a special-needs child, I've seen firsthand how different the world can be for kids like my brother. While my friends and I were going to birthday parties, sports games, and school dances, he was often left out, not because people didn't care, but because they didn't know how to include him.

I started Sidekicks to change that.

Sidekicks exists to give special-needs kids the same joyful social experiences that define growing up, and to give high schoolers a chance to build meaningful friendships in the process. We go beyond "volunteering" to build real connection, one outing at a time.
